AP’s industry & IT minister has made it clear that Andhra Pradesh shall be a leader and pioneer in the EV (electric Vehicle) policy.
‘We missed the automobile revolution however we will not let the EV opportunity pass by. AP will be the pioneer in EV policy’ said Mr Gowtham Reddy.
The minister has been meeting an eclectic group of investors and has been asking them to invest in EVs in Andhra Pradesh.
Just recently he met the soft bank representatives in Hyderabad wherein Softbank said they were willing to invest in the EV sector. The minister then asked them for an official proposal so that he can take it up with the AP Chief Minister Mr. Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
In another meeting with the South Korean officials the minister urged them to invest in electric vehicles and infrastructure facilities in AP. Asserting that the government was trying to improve transparency in the Revenue Department using blockchain technology, the minister said efforts were on to bring a new policy to promote electric vehicles.
The delegation from South Korea also evinced interest in constructing bridges on rivers with advanced facilities.
