Ashroff leads Sri Lankan delegation to CM
Leading the much important business delegation from Sri Lanka to the AP, CM’s office was Mr Ashroff Omar, Brandix Group’s CEO and his Indian partner Mr Dora Swamy.
In an exclusive meeting with the CM, Mr Chandrababu Naidu the group held discussions on the way forward for the development of the proposed AP Industrial Park in Sri Lanka for which 600 acres have been allocated by the Sri Lankan Govt.
During this important meeting Mr Ashroff Omar and Mr Dora Swamy also discussed three critical issues with the Chief Minister for the welfare of Brandix employees:
i) Appointment of Minimum Wages Committee;
ii) Establishment of an ESI Hospital at Atchutapuram for the welfare of
Brandix workforce largely belonging to the rural district; and
iii) Widening and development of a 100 feet road between Anakapalli and
Atchutapuram and a Flyover at Atchutapuram junction.
The Chief Minister responded positively to the above and assured immediate initiation on the implementation of the same. He expressed happiness and appreciated Brandix for providing employment to more than 18,000 people and promised to extend support in getting a DTA (Domestic Tariff Area) approval for the Brandix Park.
Dora Swamy invited the CM to visit the Park. The CM personally asked Dora Swamy to stay in touch and update on any issues concerning the Brandix Park.
