Brandix to scale up employees

    Sri Lankan apparel solutions provider, Brandix India apparel city has said that it will be adding more employees to its state of the art facility in Andhra Pradesh.
   In a recent delegation Brandix company CEO Mr Ashroff Omar met with the AP’s industry minister, Mr Gowtham Reddy and informed the minister of scaling up the employment at Brandix’s Atchutapuram facility.
   Mr Ashroff Omar reiterated to the minister that 95 percent of jobs in Brandix were being provided to locals, primarily consisting of women. He further confirmed to the minister that Brandix is moving forward with the goal of increasing employment opportunities for rural women.
   Presently more than 22,500 workers are employed in Brandix Apparel Park. Mr Ashroff Omar told the minister. The delegation went on to inform the industry minister that over the next one year 5,000 to 7,000 more workers will be recruited.
   During their interaction with the minister, the visiting delegation also made aware to the minister some of the problems the company has been facing. The minister assured them of the government’s support and to duly review those issues while work towards finding a quick solution. Industry, Commerce and IT Minister Mr. Mekapati Gautam Reddy said the government would set up employment opportunities by setting up Apparel Parks throughout Andhra Pradesh.
    The minister added that Brandix’s advice and suggestions would be sought to formulate a Garment Policy. He said that the district would set up parlor parks to increase employment opportunities.
