Govt. to institute Telangana Excellence Awards
The challenges that a civil servant faces are complex and only those who keep in touch with ground realities capture the truth by listening to the silent majority, said former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India Mr. D. Subba Rao.
Delivering the keynote address at the first-ever Civil Services Day celebrated in Telangana State at the Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana in Hyderabad last fortnight, he said that while the environment had been changing at a mind boggling pace, the relevance of character of a civil servant, in terms of such values as honesty, credibility, integrity, passion and trust and discharging duties efficiently had not changed.
Chief Secretary Mr. S.P.Singh announced that the Government would institute Telangana Excellence Awards (TEX Awards) and they would be presented on State Formation Day on June 2.
Director General MCH HRD Institute and Special Chief Secretary, Planning, B.P.Acharya called upon the civil servants to carry out their responsibilities without fear or favour.
