Industry lauds CMs efforts in record breaking restoration work
Visakhapatnam: It was a packed audience that had gathered to discuss their imminent issues and concerns with the CM arising out of the cyclonic storm Hudhud.
The meeting witnessed a large gathering of captains of industry from diverse sectors that not only brought to his notice the situations of their respective industries but also levied praise on the CMs untiring efforts and sincere dedication in restoring things to normalcy.
The room witnessed entrepreneurs and business leaders laud Mr N Chandrababu Naidu’s dynamic leadership and problem solving skills in restoring some of the essentials in record breaking time.
‘I have come back from the US and we had witnessed a similar major cyclone there and with all the preparedness they have it took about 2 weeks to restore power. But here I am surprised to see power returning from day four’ said a senior executive of a pharma company.
Similarly another senior expat heading one the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world showered praise on his ad ministerial skills and his can do it attitude.
Even local entrepreneurs reminisced moments of despair and agony caused by natural calamities earlier and the way Mr Naidu had efficiently handled the situation even then by bringing back normalcy at the earliest.
The CM however was oblivious to the praise and after hearing concerns of the industry directed his officials to immediately look into some of the outstanding issues.
He was particularly stern on insurance companies and directed their officers in making sure that the claims filed by the industry and others were taken up on priority and settled in record breaking time.
I have been here (in the collectorate) since the day after the storm and intend to be here till the majority of the restoration work is complete said the CM.
Mr Naidu also assured the industry that once things normalize he would start visiting the city regularly and initially plans to visit Vizag once a month to take stock of the development and growth prospects of the city. ‘I want to make Vizag a smart city and also restore the greenery Vizag has lost due to the cyclonic storm’ said the CM.
