*Achieves 22,000 Crores investment *Employment for 33,000 people *Fresh 30,000 Crores investment in pipeline
Andhra Pradesh was India’s most business-friendly state in 2016, 2017 and 2018, according to separate studies conducted by the Union commerce ministry, the World Bank and the National University of Singapore. But few would agree with that claim now.
Since unseating N Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra chief minister in May 2019, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy may appear to have rattled investors by rolling back some of Naidu’s decisions, putting current and future investments in Andhra Pradesh at risk. But nothing could be further from the TRUTH.
The 47-year-old first-time chief minister since taking charge (June 2019-Feb 2020) has had 39 Large and Mega units start their operation with an investment of Rs.20,000 Crore providing employment to 33,000 people. In addition, 6572 MSME units have been established with an investment of Rs.1840 Crore providing employment to 49,001 people, according to State Government sources.
Furthermore, 1736 companies have been allotted land by APIIC with a committed investment of Rs.13,000 Crore and several other companies remain in active negotiations with the government, thus showcasing unwavering investor confidence in AP’s growth story the State Government sources said.
Political stability, access to south-east Asian markets, good road and rail connectivity, large land banks and water availability is the top reason investors cite for choosing AP as their investment destination. The government remains committed to building a conducive ecosystem by creating the best infrastructure in the country to attract industries. The State government is working on a new industrial policy with a focus on faster clearance, full transparency and accountability across the board, particularly in land allotments. In summary, investments of 22,000 crores has been grounded in 9 months time and another 30,000 Crore investment is in the pipe line demonstrating Jagan’s inspiring leadership and commitment of the current ruling dispensation to its people.
Let not the TRUTH be blurred by lies and misinformation to justify a false perception that is objectively unjustifiable and plain out of touch with reality.
