Director (Commercial) addressed the participants on ‘Pricing mechanism on Coal & Steel Industry’and informed the audience that unlike mining Industry, Steel Industry does not have pricing power & steel pricing has always defied standardization due to lack of consolidation and cyclic in nature.
A Double Helix pricing model called “Seven Factor Pricing Model” which was developed by RINL’s Marketing Department for steel product pricing in association with IIM, Ahmedabad received appreciation too and a number of consulting firms expressed their interest in becoming knowledge partner with RINL for developing Double Helix Power Pricing Model which will be for the first time in Steel Industry.
