AP’s IT and industry minister has come out slamming reports that his government is cancelling projects and initiatives just because they had been undertaken by the previous TDP government.

‘Let me make it very clear every project is being reviewed for its merit and sustainability. We are not just blindly cancelling projects just because they have been started by the previous government. We are looking at policies of the previous government and are seeing what has worked and what hasn’t’ stated the state’s IT and Industry minister Mr Goutham Reddy.

Reassuring industrialists and IT companies the minister stated that businesses shouldn’t suffer because of a change in government. ‘Policy should not suffer on change of government’ said Mr Goutham Reddy.

Launch of Incentive Portal

The IT minister made these comments during his recent visit to the port city wherein he along with the Tourism minister Mr Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao inaugurated aone-stop portal for IT companies to apply for incentives and also track the status of their application from submission stage to disbursement stage.

The portal is said to inform companies through auto-updates such as SMS/ e-mail, each time an application progresses to the next stage, thereby reducing the need for companies to manually reach out to the government to receive updates on the status of their application.

The portal also provides IT companies with a plethora of ready to occupy space options to choose from and start operations.

The Minister also stated that commitments to IT companies in terms of incentives, support, land allotment etc. will be honoured subject to necessary checks and balances.
