Agriculture equipment maker, KisanKraft is all set to unveil its brand new facility in Nellore by August’21.
Established in 2005 KisanKraft is a leading company in India for small farm machinery with its primary focus on small & marginal farmers.
With 14 regional offices and service centres this Karnataka based company aims at offering affordable mechanization for small and marginal farmers the needs of whom it says have largely been neglected.
‘The small and marginal farmers’ mechanization needs are practically unrealised in India. Mechanization is largely in the space of tractors that too for large land holdings’ said Mr Ravindra Agrawal, Managing Director, KisanKraft Ltd speaking to Vizag Industrial Scan.
And with scarcity of labour becoming a glaring problem the company looks to assuage farmers’ operational shortcomings through automation and mechanization.
The company states to have small machinery for all major operations of cultivation viz. Land Preparation, Plantation, Crop Management, Harvesting and Post Harvesting activities. ‘We now have more than 300 different models of products to serve the farmers’ needs said Mr Agrawal.

Brand New Nellore Facility
KisanKraft has invested over Rs 75 cores in its upcoming Nellore facility which it says will provide employment to close to 200 people.
‘We have set up a 46-acres campus at Nellore (AP, India) with state-of-the-art facility for manufacturing Agricultural Machinery, R&D, Testing, Skilling, Service, Warehousing’ said Mr Agrawal.
Hailing the state of Andhra Pradesh for land policies he said that AP has a good process of converting Agriculture land into industrial usage.
The Nellore plant once ready shall house four new industrial buildings which will be used to indigenously manufacture Engines, water pumps and intercultivators.
‘We plan to produce around 50,000 intercultivators in a year in one shift’ informed the managing director.
He further stated that the company will also look at exporting some of these products from the Nellore facility in the times ahead.
The agri equipment maker currently has 12 products that are certified and also has 3 PATENTS to it for improvements in gearbox for brush-cutter and design of gearbox for oil-palm harvester and a self-propelled reaper for paddy/wheat etc.
KisanKraft products are said to have been tested and approved by FMTTI (Government of India’s Farm Machinery Testing & Training Institute) and empaneled in various subsidy programs to encourage farm mechanization by most states in India.
