One of things that is revered in India are its handicrafts. Plethora of craftsmen and artisans across the country make products that preserve their rich traditions and cultural heritage.

Craftiee is a startup that aims to showcase these coveted pieces of artwork while on boarding them digitally.

‘Our objective is to bring in as many variations of these handcrafted ensembles for our prospective worldwide customers and make Craftiee a search engine exclusively for Indian handicrafts’ said its founder Mr Siddhartha.

It was while doing his graduation that Mr Siddhartha came across a news article that spoke on the untapped potential of the handicraft industry which he opined was struggling to digitalize. This built his interest in helping the artisan community and launched craftiee as an exclusive online portal for handmade crafts in 2016.

This APIS (Andhra Pradesh innovation society) incubated startup engages certified artisans and directly generates leads for them. Artisans can sell their products on craftiee at their own price. For every transaction that happens on the website craftiee gets a commission from the craftsmen.

The website claims to have 100 products on its site which include Kondapalli toys, Bidri metalware, Cheriyal scroll painting, batik paintings, handcrafted clutch wallets, wooden masks and home décor.

‘We sell 100% handcrafted items that make us stand out from the rest by keeping the flavour and nativity of the product alive’ said Mr Siddhartha.

They are currently 10 craftsmen on board craftiee and claim to have furnished 10k+ orders across India.

‘We plan to promote handicraft items as return gifts on auspicious occasions’ said Mr Siddhartha.

Craftiee he says gives you a unique, hassle free shopping experience and is a one stop shop for all popular handicrafts designed in India.
