RINL bags National Conservation Award

     Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the Corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has bagged National Energy Conservation Award under Integrated Steel Plant category.
     The first prize was recently presented to the CMD Mr. P. K. Rath by Union Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mr. R. K. Singh in New Delhi.
    The first prize has been awarded to RINL for its significant contribution for reduction of specific energy consumption through implementing various waste energy recovery technologies (Coke dry quenching, BF top pressure recovery system), injection of pulverized coal into blast furnaces to substitute BF coke and units and implementation of Energy Management System (ISO 50001), among others.
   RINL developed these projects with in-house expertise without engaging any external consultant. Mr. Rath commended the efforts by the dedicated RINL collective in conserving the energy and thus paving the way for standing first in the country.
