NARESH 3

The Visakhapatnam zone of GST has recorded a substantial 102% growth in its revenue collections for the period April to June 2021. The growth was majorly due to the low base effect in Q1 of FY’21.

During the same period last year when the nationwide lockdown was in place the zone had recorded revenues of Rs 2225.27 crores.

However with the scenario being different this fiscal and with the economy reviving the zone has witnessed a substantial increase. In fact what is noteworthy is that the zone’s growth this fiscal has beat the all India revenue growth of 81% for the same period.
