GITAM inks MoU with HSL

GITAM, deemed to be university, recently signed a MoU with Hindustan Shipyard Limited to focus on action-research projects, summer internships, project works, capacity building programs and other similar activities.

GITAM Registrar Prof.D.Gunasekharan and HSL Business Development & IT wing General Manager Commander JPGupta exchanged the MoU documents in the presence of Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof.Gowtham Rao, GITAM R&D Cell Director Dr.N.Satyanarayana.

Addressing the gathering GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof.Gowtham Rao informed that the university faculty is helping the industry to organize capacity building programs like organizational behavior, decision making, management communication, IOT, data analytics, AI, industrial automation, cyber security, web application development etc. He hoped that the MoU will help both the organizations in coming years.

HSL Business Development & IT wing General Manager Commander JPGupta said that HSL is a schedule “B” central public sector enterprise under the department of defence production, ministry of defence, government of India.

He further informed that HSL has constructed 200 vessels and repaired 2000 vessels.  He said that Hindustan Shipyard Limited is striving continuously to innovate and improve upon its performance in terms of optimizing timelines and project cost whilst meeting the quality that is expected by its customers.
