Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been conferred the SCOPE Eminence Award for R&D, Technology Development & Innovation for the year 2022–23.

The award was presented by the President of India, Ms. Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony organized by SCOPE in New Delhi on August 29, 2025.

This recognition underscores SAIL’s unwavering commitment to indigenous research, process innovation and sustainable technological advancement. The award was received by SAIL’s Director (Technical, Projects & Raw Materials), Mr. Manish Raj Gupta.
