Gateway Terminals India (APM Terminals Mumbai) has launched a state-of-the-art Truck Appointment System (TAS) to transform terminal operations at JNPA. Inaugurated by Mr. Vimal Kumar Srivastava, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone-II, along with Mr. Arunjay Kumar Singh, CEO GTI, the new TAS introduces a smart time-slotting mechanism to regulate truck arrivals, ease peak-hour congestion, and streamline terminal traffic flow.
This innovation is set to reduce truck turnaround times, improve planning for all stakeholders, and ensure smoother, more reliable pick-ups and deliveries. The initiative reflects GTI’s commitment to leveraging technology for smarter, faster, and more sustainable port operations a significant step forward for the entire maritime logistics ecosystem.
