RINL calls on Startups to find solutions

As a part of the Open Challenge Program-1 (OCP-1) RINL hosted an outreach webinar, giving more insights on the challenge program statements from RINL.

Dr. P.Chandra Sekhar, GM (IT& ERP)/ RINL, gave a detailed outline of the problem statements posed on the open challenge program.

Similarly Mr AK Saxena, Director (Operations), RINL & Member of Project Management Group, Kalpataru, emphasized on providing a holistic incubation facility for the start-ups to grow. He further stated that “Being an integrated steel plant, RINL offers start-ups a wide scope to develop and offer innovative Industry 4.0 products and solutions”.

Mr Ujwal Ramdurg, Solution Consultant Siemens Ltd. gave a presentation on the relevance of Industry 4.0 for steel industry, with specific emphasis on Digital Twins(simulation), relevance to steel industry.

Mr Anil Kumar Kadam, Director-EcoStruxure & Cyber Security, Schneider Electric, gave a presentation on the relevance of Industrial IOT, its applications leading to Predictive and Prescriptive Maintenance. Mr CVD Ramprasad, Director STPI – Hyderabad, said that COE Kalpataru, the 21st COE of STPI, is a unique project, which is supported by RINL. He also said that many start-ups are showing keen interest to work on RINL problem statements.

Dr. Suresh Batha, Addl. Director & OIC (Officer in charge), STPI- Visakhapatnam was present.
