Skilling AP

The Andhra Pradesh state skill development corporation (APSSDC) has been on a mission mode over the past four and half years.

With the chief minister Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy himself being a strong advocate of imparting skill training and development to the youth of the state, APSSDC has been undertaking various skilling programs across the length and breadth of Andhra Pradesh.

The state government has sanctioned 26 skill development colleges across the state with one college being set up in each of the 25 parliamentary constituencies. 

Among these ones is a greenfield skill development institute which has been set up in CM’s home district of Pulivendula.

The corporation has been providing skill certification for students, developing industry strong linkages and thereby skilling youth and facilitating them with employment opportunities.

Just to share some numbers APSSDC as of FY23 had trained about 13,56, 514 people and placed about 229,818. In addition APSSDC recently signed 24 MoUs in varied sectors such as IT, Hospitality, Textiles, Paints & Coatings, Logistics, Automotive, Hydrocarbon, electronics etc. to impart training through their various sector skills programs and training over forty-five thousand candidates just in calendar year 2024 alone.
