Senior Congress leader & loyalist Mr V Hanumantha Rao recently called upon Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister Mr N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada.

In his meeting with Mr Naidu the congress leader is said to have requested the chief minister to name one of the districts in the state after the renowned Dalit leader the late Damodaram Sanjivayya.

Damodaram Sanjivayya was the second chief minister & first Dalit chief minister of the undivided state of Andhra Pradesh. Mr Naidu assured Mr Hanumantha Rao to look into the proposal.

Mr Rao also met AP’s Deputy Chief Minister Mr Pawan Kalyan wherein Mr Kalyan felicitated Mr Rao.
