Reiterating the focus of the state government in attracting investments into the food processing industry, the State’s Industries, Commerce and Food Processing Minister Mr T.G. Bharath said that efforts are being made to further strengthen the food processing sector in the state.

The minister thus launched a One-Stop Helpline for Food Industry Promotion – 04045901100 at the APIIC office in Mangalagiri.

He said that this helpline will help investors and industries to continue their business activities easily by providing crucial information and clarifications related to Food Processing Policy 4.0 (FPP4.0).

Speaking on the occasion, Minister T.G. Bharath said that the main objective of this program is to increase transparency in government policies, encourage entrepreneurs in the food processing sector and find solutions to their problems.

Mr Bharath said that this helpline will play a key role in providing support to new industries at all stages from submission of project report to obtaining government approvals. ‘This will ensure that new investments are approved quickly’ said the minister.

The helpline will also guide micro-entrepreneurs to identify food processing business opportunities in their vicinity and will connect micro-entrepreneurs with District Resource Persons (DRPs) under the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME). Thus, it will help them set up their own food processing units.
