HPCL’s Visakh refinery records highest-ever crude throughput

Oil marketing behemoth Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) today announced its financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026.

As per an official release from the company, it registered a year-on-year increase in Profit After Tax of 133% for FY26, and 46% for Q4 FY26.

In regards to Sales volume for FY26 (including exports) it stood at 51.45 MMT up 3.3% YoY.

Refinery Throughput

In terms of operational performance HPCL recorded its highest-ever refinery throughput of 26.04 MMT in FY26 with 3% increase YoY.

Refineries also achieved the highest-ever distillate yield of 75.8% in FY26.

Visakh Refinery @ Vizag

HPCL’s Visakh Refinery registered highest-ever crude throughput of 16.04 MMT, operating at107% of its capacity, and posted its highest-ever distillate yield of 74.5% during FY26.

Similarly, its Mumbai Refinery registered highest-ever crude throughput of 10.00 MMT, operating at 105% of its capacity during FY26.

Refineries recorded crude throughput of 6.43 MMT in Q4 FY26 with Visakh Refinery registered crude throughput of 3.89 MMT operating at 105% of its capacity.

Mumbai Refinery registered crude throughput of 2.54 MMT operating at 109% of its capacity, said the release from the company.

During the quarter, four new grades of crude oil were processed by the refineries taking the total number of grades processed in the year to 52.

It might be noted that just about a few months ago HPCL’s Visakh refinery had successfully commissioned the world’s first LC-Max based residue upgradation facility.

This is considered to be among the world’s most advanced residue processing facilities.

Dividend

The Board of Directors has recommended a Final Dividend of Rs 19.25 per equity share having face value of Rs 10 for FY 2025-26, subject to approval by the members of the company in the Annual General Meeting.

This final dividend is in addition to the interim dividend paid for FY 2025- 26 at Rs 5.00 per equity share, said the company in the release.
