Making a concerted effort for boosting trade ties between Andhra Pradesh and South Africa, Auro Group Management recently met with his Excellency Mr. Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile, Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, along with his delegation of Ministers.
The Auro Group is said to have conveyed its keen interest in contributing towards the growing economic and trade relationship between India and South Africa.
During the discussions, the management of Auro Group presented details of its flagship infrastructure project, Kakinada Gateway Port Limited (KGPL), located on the east coast of India.
The port, which is being developed as a world-class deep-water port with capabilities to handle diversified cargo including coal, iron ore and other minerals, liquid chemicals, LNG, LPG, and containers is designed to accommodate vessels of up to 2,00,000 DWT with a draft depth of 20 meters.
Spread across a vast backup area of over 1,650 acres with an approximately 6 km seafront, KGPL is being developed with a master plan capacity exceeding 120 MTPA and is presently under construction.
In addition, the port is also backed by an integrated industrial park spanning across 5,600 acres with world-class infrastructure and environmental clearances already in place.
Auro Group expressed its strong interest in exploring potential opportunities for trade, logistics, mineral handling, industrial development, and strategic partnerships between South Africa and the east coast of India through KGPL.
The delegation acknowledged the ongoing discussions positively and suggested exploring further avenues for mutually beneficial engagement and long-term collaboration between stakeholders from both countries.
