A 14-member delegation from Russia, comprising representatives from Government, academia, and private industry, recently visited the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA). The visiting team was welcomed by the Port officials.
The primary objective of the delegation’s visit was to explore potential partnerships in education, training, and industry, with a focus on facilitating the migration of skilled Indian workers to Russia. During the briefing session, VPA officials highlighted the Port’s robust infrastructure and facil0ities, including its cargo-handling capacities, modernization and mechanization initiatives, covered storage facilities, use of solar power, and Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) for industrial water purposes.
They also elaborated on the Port’s investment potential and opportunities for enhancing import and export trade through Visakhapatnam Port.
