State’s MSME minister represents AP on world stage

Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Rural Poverty Alleviation and Diaspora Empowerment Mr Kondapalli Srinivas was recently in Europe to attend the world MSME meet at Davos, Switzerland.

The event which was held on three days saw the minister represent Andhra Pradesh on the global stage wherein shared the state’s ambitious roadmap to achieve a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047, boost exports to $40 billion, attract $10 billion in FDI, create 2 million jobs in the next five years, and sustain 15% annual GSDP growth.

At the meet he also got to interact with world leaders while exploring strategies to strengthen MSMEs, foster innovation, and deepen international collaboration.

Similarly, the minister also visited the Indian Embassy in Frankfurt and met with the Indian Consulate General team. Minister Srinivas reviewed the opportunities for German investment in Andhra Pradesh along with the Consulate General team.

He explored investment opportunities for Germans in many priority sectors, including the small and medium industrial sector.

Several NRIs from Andhra, who are CEOs of several leading companies in Germany, participated in this meeting and gave valuable suggestions. During his visit to the coveted European city Mr Srinivas also interacted with the Telugu Association of Switzerland (TAS) in Zurich and called on the Telugu Diaspora to play a key role in the development of Andhra Pradesh.

He urged them to contribute to development in the form of micro, small and medium scale industries in their hometowns with creative ideas.

Minister Srinivas said that there is a need for the Andhra diaspora to maintain constant contact with their homeland and preserve our cultural traditions.
