NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha, IAS has urged MSMEs in the state to not be limited to domestic markets but to grow to a level where they can compete in global markets.

Speaking at the Andhra Pradesh MSME Export Development Program (AP MXDP), the AP Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet-2026 program held in Vijayawada today, the Collector said that Andhra Pradesh is at the forefront of innovation, investment and development.

The program was organized in partnership with the AP MSME Development Corporation and India SME Forum.

He opined that our MSMEs should further improve the quality and standards of their products in line with the needs of global markets.

Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation CEO Mr M Vishwa, IAS said that by inviting buyers from different countries of the world to Andhra Pradesh, new international markets are being made available to the state’s MSMEs.

He said that the aim of this meeting is to convert the discussions between buyers and MSMEs into actual business agreements, export orders and long-term international partnerships.

Mr Vinod Kumar, President, India SME Forum, said that MSMEs need to become suppliers that can compete in the global markets, not just producers.

He said that by bringing international buyers directly to Vijayawada, it is facilitating the opportunity for small and medium enterprises to reach international markets.

He said that these meetings have the potential to create immediate orders as well as repeat business, partnerships and long-term market relationships.

The two-day event brought international markets closer to MSMEs in the state and established direct business relationships with foreign buyers.

More than 200 MSMEs and 34 international buyers are participating in the event. Buyers from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Japan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other countries attended.
