Counted among India’s fastest growing airline Akasa Air has announced the launch of direct flights from Vizag’s new greenfield airport Alluri Sitarama Raju international airport to the country’s capital New Delhi.
The airline will fly non-stop from Delhi to Visakhapatnam, starting 25 Oct 2026.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Mr Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu hailed the new connection and said that this new flight service will make travel to Delhi easier for the people of Uttar Andhra and will provide more choice and convenience to the passengers.
As per details obtained the flight will depart from New Delhi at 5:55 am and reach Bhogapuram at 8:20 am.
Similarly, it will depart from Bhogapuram international airport at 9:05 am and reach Delhi at 11:30 am.
Mr Naidu expressed happiness on Akasa Air resuming its flight services in the Visakhapatnam region after a gap of three years.
He said that the Central Government is committed to connecting Uttaranchal with various parts of the country with better air connectivity with the development of Bhogapuram Airport.
The Union Minister further added that the government is working continuously to increase the number of flight services and destinations as per the needs of passengers.
