Andhra Pradesh’s minister for IT, HRD and electronics Mr Nara Lokesh today met Singapore’s Consulate General, Chennai Mr Edgar Pang Tze Chiang.
The two are said to have discussed ways to further strengthen AP’s partnership with Singapore.
Mr Lokesh apprised him of AP’s Speed of Doing Business and the celerity with which projects are being grounded.
“We have focused on the grounding of major investments. There are about 750 industries in the state at various phases of completion and we review their progress every 15 days.
In addition, we are developing 22 clusters in the state” highlighted Minister Lokesh to the Singapore CG.
He reiterated that the state wants to build a strong partnership with Singapore and recalled the recent visit of a group of AP teachers to Singapore for a study tour.
The state’s HRD minister simultaneously explained that many revolutionary reforms have been brought in the education sector as well.
Mr Chiang praised the development taking place in the state & said that AP is at the forefront of attracting investments.
He acknowledged the recent visit of a group of AP ministers and Chief Minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu to Singapore.
The CG also said that he will work to strengthen the partnership with AP.
