Kakinada Gateway Port Limited (KGPL), a subsidiary of the Auro Group, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sravan Shipping Services Pvt Ltd for the proposed development of a liquid storage tank farm facility.

Mr. Ram Reddy Ojili, Managing Director & CEO of Kakinada Gateway Port Limited, and Mr. Sambasiva Rao, Managing Director of Sravan Shipping services Pvt.Ltd, exchanged the MoU in the presence of senior officials.

As per KGPL the partnership aligns with the vision of developing a world-class integrated port ecosystem designed to support diverse industries and evolving global trade requirements.

The MoU marks a significant milestone in strengthening Kakinada’s position as a future-ready maritime and industrial gateway on the east coast of India.

The collaboration aims to facilitate the handling and storage of various liquid cargoes including chemicals, solvents, petrochemical products, and allied commodities.

Under the proposed understanding, Sravan Shipping Services Pvt Ltd intends to develop multiple liquid storage tank farms at KGPL with an estimated cargo handling potential of around 1 MTPA.

KGPL will facilitate the required land on lease basis and develop a dedicated liquid berth with a draft ranging between 14 to 18 meters to support efficient marine operations.

The collaboration is expected to enhance liquid cargo infrastructure in the region, strengthen supply chain capabilities, generate employment opportunities, attract industrial investments, and contribute to the economic growth of Andhra Pradesh and India’s eastern maritime corridor.

The MoU also reflects the shared commitment of both organizations towards developing long-term logistics and port-led infrastructure solutions that support international trade and industrial expansion.

With this development, Kakinada Gateway Port continues to emerge as a strategic hub for bulk, breakbulk, liquid, LNG, LPG, and offshore cargo operations, reinforcing its importance in India’s growing maritime economy.
