Brandix India bags IIA Award for Excellence in Gov.

Brandix India Apparel City (BIAC) recently received the IIA award at the IIA(Institute of internal auditors) Joint Audit Conclave 2023. 

Mr. Charith Wickramasuriya, Head of Finance received the award on behalf of BIAC.

This award is a testimony to BIAC’s unwavering commitment to excellence in corporate governance, internal audit and risk management, said a statement from BIAC.

Ranked among the largest dedicated apparel and textile manufacturing parks in Asia, Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited (BIAC) is located in Atchutapuram, Visakhapatnam.

BIAC has been at the forefront of empowering women workers as more than 18,000 of BIAC employees are women at the Vizag facility.

The state of the art facility at Vizag also has a strong commitment towards environmental sustainability and has been contributing towards a sustainable future.

BIAC is a zero-landfill apparel park and the first industry in the state to have installed a Solar Sludge Drying Process unit that avoids landfill waste.

The Park has been harvesting rainwater to meet 30% of the Park’s annual water usage sustainably.

With continuous investments in clean energy and efforts for power optimisation, the Park is aiming to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2030.
