In tandem with these launches, APGENCO entered a pivotal MoU with the National Hydro-Electric Power Corporation (NHPC) to champion pumped storage power projects.

This alliance aspires to develop 1950 MW pumped storage facilities at Yaganti and Kapalapadu, involving a financial outlay of Rs. 10,000 crores and further job creation for 2000 personnel.
