Cyient Foundation, the CSR arm of Cyient, recently announced the launch of CyAILS – Cyient AI Lab for Schools, a transformative five-year initiative designed to empower over 25,000 students in 50 government high schools across Visakhapatnam.

The initiative was launched by Minister for Human Resources Development, IT Electronics and Communication, Mr  Nara Lokesh.

This flagship program aims to bridge the digital divide by equipping underprivileged students from Grades 7 to 10 with foundational skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), STEM, and Robotics.

The initiative also aligns with India’s National Education Policy 2020, promoting experiential learning and integrating 21st-century technologies into mainstream education. Each school will receive a fully functional AI Lab, complete with computers, IoT-enabled devices, STEM and robotics kits, and broadband connectivity. In addition, over 200 teachers will undergo structured training to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

“CyAILS is not just a CSR initiative, it is a commitment to inclusive innovation,” said Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman of Cyient.

He further added “By bringing cutting-edge technology into government school classrooms, we are investing in the aspirations of young minds who will shape India’s digital future. This initiative also reinforces our belief that technology, when made accessible, can be a great leveler.”

Through hands-on workshops, project-based learning, and innovation challenges, students will not only gain technical knowledge but also learn to apply AI and STEM tools to address real-world community problems. The program includes structured monitoring, evaluation, and certification to track impact and promote continuous improvement.

CyAILS represents a scalable model for AI education and embodies Cyient Foundation’s larger vision of “Empowering Tomorrow Together” by equipping India’s youth with future-ready skills. Building on its strong track record, the Foundation has successfully digitized over 120 government schools, reaching more than 35,000 students with digital literacy. Through its Adopt-a-School initiative, over 21,000 children are currently receiving quality education.
