Explores ways to enhance freight

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Waltair Division, Mr. Lalit Bohra, conducted an inspection and held discussions with Mulapeta Port authorities regarding on-going and future collaborative opportunities.

Accompanied by senior officers from the division, the DRM reviewed the progress of safety works along the Naupada–Visakhapatnam section. During the visit to the upcoming port, DRM engaged with the management of Mulapeta Port to explore ways to enhance freight loading opportunities.

Port officials briefed him on current activities, on-going developmental projects, and outlined future infrastructure plans for the port, emphasizing the need for improved rail connectivity and logistics support.

Mr. Lalit Bohra assured the port management of the Railways’ full cooperation to boost freight loading and ensure seamless transportation of important commodities.

He also inspected the proposed loading facilities at the port siding, providing recommendations to strengthen safety protocols during operations.
