Eversun Marine emerges highest bidder for EQ6

Visakhapatnam Port has recently signed Concession Agreement for the  “Development and Mechanization of existing East Quay – 6 (EQ-6)  Berth in the  Inner Harbour. 

This was signed with the Concessionaire M/s. Eversun Marine Ports Private Limited, who quoted the Highest Royalty for handling all types of  Dry Bulk Cargo on DBFOT basis”.

The proposed facility is a Semi-mechanization of the existing EQ-6 Berth with Berth length of 255 Mtrs. with a dredge depth draft of 12.10 Mtrs. and can cater to 200 Mtrs. LoA Vessels. 

The Project envisages installation of 1 new Harbour Mobile Crane (HMC) of 1500 TPH with lifting capacity of 120 T,   01 Nos. of Mobile Hoppers along with other handling equipments i.e. Cranes, Loaders, Trucks, Fork lifts etc. with a total investment of  Rs.66.12 Crores. 

The facility can handle all types of bulk cargoes with handling capacity of 2.62 MMTPA. The Terminal proposed has an inbuilt advantage of having back up area of 3.03 acres adjacent to the Berth for temporary storage of cargo and about 10 acres of stack yard within 200 Mtrs. from the Berth front, stated a press release.
