The CII Andhra Pradesh recently organised a Session on Technology, Innovation and R&D.

Addressing the gathering Dr. Mohan M, distinguished scientist & Director, Human Space Flight Centre, ISRO emphasized the significance of innovation in technology and research and development, particularly from the perspective of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). 

He highlighted that ISRO’s journey has been marked by relentless innovation, starting from its early days.

He emphasized the critical role of innovation in overcoming challenges, particularly in the unforgiving environment of space where even minor errors can have catastrophic consequences. Dr. Mohan cited the example of the challenges faced in developing cryogenic technology due to geopolitical reasons and the need for innovative solutions to ensure mission success.

Dr. Y Srinivas Rao, Distinguished Scientist, Director General, Naval Systems & Materials, DRDO, emphasized ISRO’s commitment to innovation, technology, R&D. He highlighted ISRO’s role as a pioneer in virtual reality (VR) technology and its dedication to innovation. 

Dr KN Satyanarayana, Director, IIT Tirupati highlighted ISRO’s rich legacy in research and development (R&D) and technology, particularly in mechanical, electronics, electrical, control, chemical, and biosystems engineering.
