Home Food at your doorstep

Rumi Kitchen is a culinary venture that emerged during the challenging period of the COVID-19 lockdown.

At that time, popular food delivery platforms like Swiggy and Zomato were not available, and it was difficult for people to access home-cooked, healthy, and hygienic food.

The genesis of this startup can be traced back to a serendipitous encounter when a neighbour’s daughter, who thoroughly enjoyed the founder’s delectable dishes, introduced the idea within their apartment’s WhatsApp group. This fortuitous event marked the inception of Rumi Kitchen.

The primary goal of Rumi Kitchen is to address the lack of easily accessible, nutritious, and freshly prepared food for individuals and families.

Amid busy schedules and limited options during the lockdown, people often struggled to find a reliable source of home-cooked meals. Rumi Kitchen came to the rescue by providing a solution that catered to the need for wholesome and hygienic dishes, prepared with care and attention to detail.

Currently, Rumi Kitchen operates as a small cloud kitchen from the founder’s home, with a dedicated team consisting of two helpful maids. The inspiration to start this venture arose from the founder’s passion for cooking and the desire to share their culinary expertise with others.

As word spread about the delectable meals prepared in Rumi Kitchen, it garnered significant interest, leading to its expansion and eventually reaching customers in the city.

Rumi Kitchen offers a unique and personalized approach to taking orders and serving customers. The startup utilizes a dedicated WhatsApp group named “Rumi Kitchen,” where customers receive daily updates about the featured dish.

“This real-time, direct communication ensures that the food is freshly cooked after receiving the order, making it a convenient and reliable option for those seeking wholesome and hygienic home-cooked meals,” said the founder.
