Income Tax Quarters worth Rs 10 crs unveiled

Mr. Pravin Kumar, IRS, Member (Income Tax & Revenue), Central Board of Direct Taxes, New Delhi recently inaugurated the newly constructed Type-IV and Type-V Income Tax quarters at Sagar Nagar in  Visakhapatnam. 

The residential quarters block comprises of 8 type-IV units and 5 type-V units constructed on a plot of land measuring 2500 sqyards owned by Income Tax Department, very close to Sagar Nagar beach road.  

These quarters will be allotted to the senior officers of the department. The construction was done by Central Public Works Department with modern amenities and superior specifications.  

While addressing the gathering Mr. Pravin Kumar, stated that the Government is constructing own office buildings and residential quarters for the officers and officials with a view to provide better living conditions.

The Chief Guest also stated that the construction of project consisting of 8 Type-IV units and 5 Type-V units was commenced in March, 2022 with an estimated cost of Rs.10 crores and the target date for completion is October, 2024.  

He appealed all the officers of the department to utilize the new facility created and wished happy stay to all the prospective occupants of these quarters.

Ms. Mitali Madhusmita, IRS Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and Mr. Asit Kumar Mohapatra, IRS Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Visakhapatnam were also present.
