Built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), INS Nistar the first-of-class advanced DP II Diving Support Vessel was commissioned on  July 18, 2025 at Naval Jetty, marking a major leap in India’s indigenous shipbuilding capability.

Following the commissioning, Minister Mr. Sanjay Seth, visited HSL and lauded the dedication of HSL Employees and the decisive leadership of Cmde Hemant Khatri, CMD, HSL, in transforming the shipyard to take on next-generation vessel construction. “You all are brand ambassadors of Viksit Bharat,” he remarked, acknowledging HSL’s vital role in building a stronger, self-reliant India.
