MOIL’s Gumgaon Mine awarded 2nd Prize

MOIL Limited’s Gumgaon mine has been awarded the 2nd Prize in the Small Metal below Ground category at the inaugural Pan India Level Mine Safety Award (MSA-2024), held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata recently.

The prestigious event, organized by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), aims to recognize and reward mines with exemplary safety practices across the coal, metal, oil, and gas sectors.

Mr. Prabhat Kumar, Chief Inspector of Mines and Director General of DGMS, presented the award to Mr. Ajit Kumar Saxena, CMD- MOIL, along with Mr. A Masade (GM Mines/Safety incharge), Mr. U M Bhujade, Agent Group II, and DGM Mines), Mr. Sudhir Pathak (Mine Manager – Gumgaon), and representatives of piece-rated and contractual workers from mines.
