New DGNP Visakhapatnam takes charge

Vice Admiral B Sivakumar recently assumed charge as the Director General Naval Project, Visakhapatnam.

He took charge on 31 Jan 25 on superannuation of Vice Admiral Srinivasan Gopinathan(seen left in the picture).

Vice Admiral B Sivakumar was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 1st July 1987 and has a career spanning more than 37 years.

He has served on board frontline Warships, INS Ranjit, Kirpan and Akshay.

The courses undergone by the officer include NDC, HDMC and TMC and he has also commanded INS Valsura.

As a Flag Officer he has tenanted the appointment of ADG(Tech) at Project Seabird, Chief Staff Officer (Tech) at HQWNC, ASD at Naval Dockyard Mumbai, Project Director (ATVP) and Controller of Warship Production & Acquisition (CW&PA).

The Flag Officer is a recipient of the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal for his distinguished service.
