NRDC’s CMD takes centre stage at WIPO

Cmde Rastogi(Retd.) highlights NRDC’s initiatives on World Stage, says NRDC working on a Visionary Model for a Greener & Sustainable Future

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) recently hosted a symposium at Geneva titled “Accelerating the Imperative: Green Technology Deployment”.

The symposium was organized on the occasion of 10th Anniversary of the WIPO Green initiative which provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the urgent deployment of green technologies to combat climate change and protect our planet’s delicate ecosystems.

Addressing a session at the symposium National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) Chairman and Managing Director, Commodore Amit Rastogi (Retd.) outlined NRDC’s visionary model to bridge the last mile gap in adopting sustainable green technologies worldwide. 

This model he said sets the stage for a greener, more sustainable future, demonstrating the commitment of NRDC to promote green technologies for global sustainability.

Earlier, WIPO Director General, Mr. Daren Tang, in his address said the symposium aimed to address the challenges hindering technology deployment while identifying opportunities for innovation, and explore avenues for scaling WIPO GREEN – a platform facilitating the sharing of green technologies and fostering international partnerships.

The WIPO Symposium on Accelerating Green Technology Deployment underscored the global commitment to harness technology in the battle against climate change, offering hope for a sustainable and environmentally conscious future.

Accompanying the CMD on this coveted symposium was Dr.B.K.Sahu, Senior Manager and Head of National Research Development Corporation, (NRDC)  Vishakhaptnam who also actively participated in the various deliberations during the symposium. 

The symposium brought together a diverse spectrum of stakeholders, fostering invaluable connections and paving the way for collaborative partnerships that will play a pivotal role in our collective mission to combat climate change.

The event witnessed high profile representation from World Economic Forum, Korea Technology Finance Corporation, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, IRENA, Ambassador of Chile to WTO, Deputy Secretary General Dept of Economic Development, Republic and State of Geneva, Kenya Climate Innovation Centre etc.
