SCI and BPCL ink MoU

The Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the formation of a strategic alliance in the shipping sector.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s shipping and energy logistics infrastructure through a well-structured and strategic partnership. It aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India), reinforcing India’s commitment to self-reliance in the critical maritime and energy sectors, highlighted a SCI communique.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Manoj Heda, ED, International Trade and Risk Management, BPCL and Mr. Atul Ubale, Director Bulk Carrier and Tankers Division.
