Chief Minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu recently held a meeting with former ISRO chairman Mr S Somnath, who is currently the state’s Space Technology Advisor along with Dr. G. Satish Reddy, former DRDO chairman and currently advisor to AP on Aerospace-Defence Manufacturing.

Both the advisors gave a presentation on the development of the space-defence sectors in AP. Mr Naidu requested the senior representatives to play an active role in formulating AP’s space-defence policies.

He also sought their assistance in getting approvals from the Centre for projects coming to the state related to these two sectors.

The CM further noted that an eco-system needs to be created so that students are attracted towards the space and defence sectors.
