A 14-member business delegation from Taiwan, led by Mr. Max Lin, Executive Director of Pou Chen Group—the world’s largest manufacturer of branded athletic and casual footwear—visited Sri City as part of their investment exploration tour in Andhra Pradesh. The delegation was warmly received on behalf of the state government by Mr. Vikas Marmat, IAS, Project Director, Kuppam Area Development Authority, along with Mr. R. Shivasankar, Senior Vice President (Marketing), Sri City.

Welcoming the delegates, Mr. Shivasankar gave an insightful presentation outlining Sri City’s unique strengths as a leading destination for industrial investment.

Dr. N. Yuvaraj IAS, Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Industries & Commerce Department joined virtually, while Mr. Vikas Marmat, Mr. Ranjith, Ms. Geetanjali from APEDB, and Mr. Manish of Invest India held discussions with the delegation.

The dialogue centred on Andhra Pradesh’s investor-friendly ecosystem—emphasising ease of doing business, policy support, seamless connectivity, and robust facilitation mechanisms, particularly in the Sri City–Kuppam industrial corridor.

Special focus was given to the non-leather footwear sector, aligning with the delegation’s profile as Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers to Pou Chen Group. The visitors expressed strong interest in the state’s progressive industrial policies and Sri City’s integrated infrastructure.

Impressed by the state’s proactive approach, Mr. Max Lin remarked, “We are delighted to visit Andhra Pradesh and impressed with the comprehensive and thoughtful plan transforming this amazing place.”
