Counted among the world leaders in design and technology services providers across industries, Tata Elxsi is said to be contemplating opening a tech development centre in Vizag.

The company had recently opened a similar centre in Kozhikode’s UL Cyber Park and is said to be actively looking at opening one in Vizag too.

The centre shall host teams and state-of-the-art technology and product development facilities in EV, Connected Car, OTT, 5G, and Digital technologies.

As per industry sources this would be great for the city’s software ecosystem as the facility would be an embedded software development centre. If the centre comes up in Vizag it will look to hire about 200 people mostly from the electronics and electrical engineering background.

Tata Elxsi caters primarily to international clients and thus has most of its revenues come from abroad.

The company helps its customers reimagine their products and services through design thinking and the application of digital technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), Cloud, Mobility, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence.
