Connsul General (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Odisha), United States of America, Ms. Jennifer Larson, along with her team recently visited Sri City.
Briefing the guests on the infrastructure, unique features and the brisk pace of development at Sri City, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, founding MD informed them about the various US companies operating out of Sri City.
As of now, eleven major American brands like PepsiCo, Cadburys, Colgate Palmolive, VRV-Chart Industries, Ball Corporation, Kellogg’s, West Pharma, etc., have preferred Sri City to set up their production units, informed Mr Sannareddy.
“Sri City continues to remain a consensus favourite investment destination for companies across the world, looking for investment opportunities in diverse sectors” stated Sri City’s founder MD.
Expressing gratitude on the Consul General’s visit he hoped this would further pave the way for some more American businessmen to invest in Sri City.
Speaking on the occasion the US CG thanked Sri City management for creating a state-of-the-art, top-notch Integrated Business City and said that she was happy to see American companies doing well in Sri City
“Learned about the world class business centre’s work to grow the US-India relationship. No better way to learn how US firms Make in India” said the CG.
The intent of her visit was to gain first-hand knowledge of the industrial hub and assess its business potential. The Consul General and the accompanying officials evinced keen interest and inquired on different aspects of Sri City, including the incentives being offered by the State and Central governments, Corporate Social Responsibility activities, etc.,
Following the briefing session, the Consul General visited VRV-Chart Industries and inaugurated the newly established Oxygen Cleaning Facility.
She also planted a tree in commemoration of her visit at the premises of the company. Mr. Kandasamy, Head, HR of the company gave a presentation on the activities of their production unit. Ms Larson went around the plant and had a close glimpse of the production facilities and witnessed the works in progress. She also had a luncheon with American CEOs/ CXOs in Sri City.
