VPA handles record rice shipment

Visakhapatnam Port has set a new record in Rice exports by successfully shipping 7,790 Metric Tonnes of Rice Bags in Break-bulk to m.v. Elefthrotria at EQ-1A Berth on February 6 2025.

This surpasses the previous record of 6,758 Metric Tonnes shipped to m.v. Amis Wisdom II at EQ-4 on August 10 2024.

This operation was executed under the agency of M/s. SPARTANS, involving various Exporters and multiple Stevedores.

This milestone reflects the Port’s efficiency and growing capacity in handling bulk cargo operations, according to a press release issued by the VPA.
