In a corporate world bombarded with PPTs, Imtiyaz Arshad believes the real question is not how many hours employees spend in a closed room, but what accentuates after they leave it.
Transformix Global LLP, the skilling and corporate training organisation was founded by Imitiyaz Arshad after nearly four decades of experience across industry, operations and transformation.
“Training is only part one. The important part is whether you are able to secure enhancement in revenue, profit, cost reduction or error reduction,” Arshad said.
Transformix Global works across functional, behavioural and technical skills, but its focus is particularly on the first two. Arshad believes organisations frequently overlook skills such as productivity, project management, leadership, risk management, quality and safety.
The company’s client work spans organisations including Hindustan Colas, Brandix, TJ, CFL and Vishakhapatnam-based industrial operations.
Instead of relying heavily on presentations, Transformix uses games and simulations to put participants in situations where their actual behaviour becomes visible.
In one petroleum and lubricant operation, Arshad’s philosophy helped in reducing the cycle time by two hours and 20 minutes, while daily capacity increased substantially.
Arshad’s approach comes from experience. In his 40-year career, he witnessed the gap between what organisations intend to achieve and what actually gets implemented on the ground.
He says transformation happens when organisations understand the gap, identify the need and align people with it.
That belief also explains the company’s name. Arshad says the company has been operating around break-even in recent months, with a lean team and a largely practitioner-led model. For Arshad, scale is not simply about adding more clients. It is about making learning stick.
“A lot of skills are available in the market. You should figure out which one is important, learn and implement. If you don’t implement it, you lose it.”
And that is the transformation Transformix Global is ultimately trying to deliver: turning training from an activity into an outcome.
