Adddressing the challenges faced by transporters and drivers, Tekalax Technologies is building an AI-powered transport ERP platform designed to simplify logistics operations, eliminate middlemen and improve driver welfare.
Founded in October 2023 by Venky Achanta the initiative aims to combine logistics automation with digital inclusion and better working conditions for transport workers.
Its long-term vision is to create a more transparent, efficient and driver-friendly logistics ecosystem.The idea emerged from Venky’s interactions with transporters and drivers who spend long periods on the road, often away from their families, while navigating manual processes, long working hours and dependence on intermediaries.
Inspired by Truck de India – A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Hindustan, his survey of the sector highlighted how technology could bring greater safety, convenience and dignity to the profession.
The platform aims to digitise and automate fleet management, load handling and documentation. Its modules include Fleet Management, Gate Management and Load Scanning, with voice-enabled features intended to make the system easier to use.
By reducing paperwork, waiting times and operational inefficiencies, the solution seeks to help drivers access timely rest and meals while enabling transport owners and industries to manage operations more efficiently.
The startup follows a subscription-based revenue model, offering flexible pricing for industries and logistics operators based on the modules they use.
Future revenue streams could include ERP integrations, Internet of Things (IoT) modules and business-to-business API services.
Currently in the pre-revenue stage, the platform has received encouraging feedback from transport owners and drivers.
The venture plans to begin projects across Andhra Pradesh before expanding nationally. Its roadmap includes multilingual voice assistants, intelligent load scanning and integration with government transport APIs.
With a six-member core team specialising in AI, development and operations, the startup is bootstrapped and is seeking grants to build and scale the platform.
