Odisha Gov lauds IIMV

The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) recently welcomed the Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, to its permanent campus.

During the visit, the Governor interacted with faculty members and took a guided tour of the Institute’s state-of-the-art campus, spread across 241.50 acres. Dr. Hari Babu, an esteemed academician and public leader, commended the Institute’s rapid growth, noting that it stands first among the contemporary IIMs.

He emphasised the vital role of institutions like IIMV in advancing India’s knowledge economy.

He lauded IIMV’s efforts and expressed hope for deeper collaborative initiatives in the future with other Institutes of National Importance.

In the interaction, Dr K Haribabu also urged the Institute to expand its footprint further through outreach activities and awareness campaigns on public policies.

“I had the privilege of playing a role in the establishment of this Institute. It’s heartening to see IIM Visakhapatnam doing well on multiple fronts, including performing commendably in national rankings like NIRF,” said the Governor.

Welcoming the Governor, Prof. M. Chandra- sekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam, shared an overview of the Institute’s key milestones, academic offerings & research achievements.
